01   My Story

Who is Simone Lord?

I have spent twenty years leading teams, growing organisations and balancing life as a police wife and mum of three boys. What I have learned is this: success does not mean sacrificing your health, your family or your purpose.

I have led teams from as small as three to as large as twenty, across start-ups through to organisations exceeding seventy five million dollars per annum, spanning corporate, community and not-for-profit sectors. I know the challenges leaders face at every stage of growth.

Along the way I have built a business, served on community boards and advocated for frontline families as an ambassador. Behind all of it is a home where my husband works shift work with no stability to his roster, and where I understand exactly how tough it is when there are so many competing priorities.

Today my mission is to help leaders and organisations thrive, with balance, resilience and impact that lasts.

03   My Approach

How does Simone work with leaders?

Believe me, I know what you are carrying right now. Leading well while holding a family together is challenging. It takes clarity and the right support. Once you have both, you will never look back.

Everything I do rests on four principles.

01

Growth with balance

Ambition and wellbeing are not in competition. The leaders who last protect both.

02

People first cultures

A culture that retains and inspires its people outperforms one that burns through them.

03

Strategy that sticks

Plans built for real life, so they survive the next crisis, roster change or restructure.

04

Genuine connection

Practical strategy paired with human connection. You are never doing this alone.

Living behind the frontline

A story of resilience, leadership and life under pressure.

For years I have wanted to share the untold story of what it really means to live behind the frontline. What We Carry weaves personal experience with lessons in leadership, resilience and wellbeing. It is part memoir, part guide, written for the partners, parents and families who live alongside service, and for anyone navigating the pressures of work, family and community while still moving forward with strength.
